What makes a business worth approaching now?

A timely fact is useful when it connects to a real service question.

A new announcement is easy to find. A useful reason for an approach takes more work. The fact needs to concern the right company, in the right territory, and connect plausibly to the service being offered. Then the researcher needs to record what the fact does not prove.

For recurring office cleaning, a new or relocated office may be relevant. Its square footage, location and occupancy timing can help a provider assess whether the premises could fit their route and capacity. An old announcement without current location verification is weaker evidence. A manufacturing facility is not automatically an office-cleaning fit.

Use two separate sentences in the brief. The first states the source fact: the company announced a move to a named address on a specified date. The second begins the interpretation: this may make facilities responsibilities worth checking. Do not smuggle a purchasing claim into the fact field.

Freshness has several meanings. A page can be checked today while describing an event from last year. Keep the publication date, event date and research date separate. If a source is undated, say so. The person using the brief can then decide whether the angle is still suitable.

Before including an account, check the buyer’s exclusions and your own previous deliveries. Confirm the company is not already a customer, competitor or unwanted category according to the supplied list. If the list was not supplied, mark the check pending. Guessing creates work for the customer later.

A small sample should test the research method as well as showcase it. Record candidates rejected, missing fields and time spent. Five convincing company briefs do not establish an endless monthly supply. A territory can be too narrow, a criterion too strict or a public signal too sparse. Discovering that early is a useful result.
